Using Freight Consolidators for Ocean Shipments
A freight consolidator operates by working with many customers who have shipments destined for international locations, which are being shipped via ocean freight services. When clients have small shipments which are not large enough to require their own shipping container, the shipment is referred to as LCL (less than container load). A consolidator works by collecting together a containers worth of small shipments, before sending them on 'bulk' long distance at the cheapest rate.
Global Forwarding works with consolidators in all parts of the country to help provide discounted pricing to customers who frequently send smaller (LCL) shipments overseas. This means that no matter where your shipment is headed, you can trust one point of contact at Global Forwarding to find you the right shipment options. The Global Forwarding team can also help with the paperwork needed to move your shipment internationally, and can connect you with a customs broker where needed.
